Biologically Active Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Produced by Rhizospheric Actinobacteria Strains Inhibit the Growth of the Phytopathogen Colletotrichum musae

چکیده

The antifungal potential of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by actinobacterial strains Streptomyces sp. (ACTB-77) and Amycolatopsis (ACTB-290) from the rhizosphere Caatinga plants against Colletotrichum musae was investigated. VOCs these microorganisms (axenic co-culture) were investigated using headspace-solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Although no exclusive VOC peaks observed in co-culture with ACTB-77, same experiment involving ACTB-290 yielded five new peaks, including two identified alcohols, suggested as bioreductive products corresponding ketones fungus. Statistical analysis revealed that ACTB-77/C. has a closer similarity to fungus than actinobacteria, while co‑culture ACTB-290/C. showed actinobacteria. These confirmed more pronounced activity strain, growth inhibition experiments. associated its sulfur-containing metabolites, linalool responsible for ACTB-77 activity.

The concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and related factors in the air in barbershops in Sanandaj in 2016

The aim of this study was to determine the density of benzene and toluene in barbershops of Sanandaj and also to determine effective factors for this pollution. A descriptive, analytical study was conducted to measure the volatile organic compound density and determine the effective factors. In this study, five hair salons and five barber shops were randomly selected from Sanandaj city. The vol...

Are Some Fungal Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Mycotoxins?

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are carbon-compounds that easily evaporate at room temperature. Toxins are biologically produced poisons; mycotoxins are those toxins produced by microscopic fungi. All fungi emit blends of VOCs; the qualitative and quantitative composition of these volatile blends varies with the species of fungus and the environmental situation in which the fungus is grown. T...

Bioactivity of volatile organic compounds produced by Pseudomonas tolaasii

Pseudomonas tolaasii is the main bacterial pathogen of several mushroom species. In this paper we report that strains of P. tolaasii produce volatile substances inducing in vitro mycelia growth inhibition of Pleurotus ostreatus and P. eryngii, and Agaricus bisporus and P. ostreatus basidiome tissue blocks brown discoloration. P. tolaasii strains produced the volatile ammonia but not hydrogen cy...

Volatile organic compounds produced by human skin cells.

Skin produces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released to the environment with emission patterns characteristic of climatic conditions. It could be thought that these compounds are intermediaries in cell metabolism, since many intermediaries of metabolic pathways have a volatile potential. In this work, using gas chromatography, we answered the question of whether VOC profiles of primary cult...

Plant Growth Promotion by Volatile Organic Compounds Produced by Bacillus subtilis SYST2

Bacterial volatiles play a significant role in promoting plant growth by regulating the synthesis or metabolism of phytohormones. In vitro and growth chamber experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by the plant growth promoting rhizobacterium Bacillus subtilis strain SYST2 on hormone regulation and growth promotion in tomato plants. We ...
